Who is Furiant?
Furiant Consulting is a boutique consultancy founded by Dr. Lonny L. Chu in 2002. While Lonny performs most of the work that we obtain, we occassionally require additional assistance for work outside of our core expertise. In such situations, Furiant is able to draw on the talents of several close associates to fill these gaps. In the end, our deliverables meet the highest-standards of quality regardless of your specific user experience needs.
Dr. Lonny L. Chu
Lonny possesses over 20 years of experience in the field of Human Computer Interaction (HCI). He has worked in both academia and industry performing interaction design, research, and evaluation. In addition to his usability work, Lonny also brings expertise in mobile, web, haptic, multi-media, and audio technologies, especially as they relate to the user experience.
In 2004, Lonny founded a startup called Gridtag. This venture focused on developing a revolutionary user experience for mobile devices. In addition to Gridtag, Lonny has also worked with other startups, billion dollar corporations, small businesses, and other organizations of various sizes, cultures, goals.
Lonny received his Ph.D. from Stanford University for his dissertation, "Haptic Interactions for Audio Navigation" and is a member of:
